Frequently Asked Questions
GET TO KNOW OUR CONCEALED COMPARTMENTS. Why’d we design this compartment? These compartments were developed for safe, simple access to your firearm. That means not just putting your hands on your firearm when traveling down the road, but being able to pull it, use it (if necessary) and replace it, all without taking your eyes off the road. Why wouldn’t we recommend using a holster, instead? You shouldn’t have to to lift clothing, unbutton/unzip vests or pockets to access your firearm while riding. Most holster-wearers go to the range to practice drawing their firearm, lifting clothing in a smooth motion to draw their firearm quickly and easily, then discharge and re-holster it. Have you ever tried to pull your firearm on your motorcycle? If you have, you’ll know that re-holstering your firearm while traveling is incredibly difficult to do. Why are these compartments on the left-side of your bike? The compartment was designed specifically for the left side in order to ensure the rider's ability to access their firearm while maintaining the option to accelerate or brake with their right hand. With our new model however, we have designed both a right and left compartment for the 2009-2021 Harley Touring Bikes. What models will our compartment fit? This initial model is designed for Harley touring bikes from 1999-2008. Model 2009-2021 will be ready for the fall riding season. We are also developing compartments for Indians, Trikes, and all touring motorcycles. Do you need to have our compartment professionally installed? You do not have to change or alter anything on the frame of your bike you simply replace simple parts with our compartment and components provided. We’ve intentionally left the compartment unpainted, so you can match the paint color to your exact bike color specifications. Can you carry a passenger with this compartment installed? Yes! The compartment is designed to allow your passenger to sit comfortably, without having to adjust their leg positioning. What if you shoot right handed? Since it’s so important to have the ability to access your firearm safely without releasing your bike’s throttle, this compartment requires you to shoot left handed. Our owner & founder is right hand dominant, and insists that all firearm owners should feel comfortable shooting with both hands. Our new model for the 2009-2021 Harley Touring Bikes will have both a right & left side available. |
